Nail Files

I'm linking up with Tara and Vicki for nail files again! I'm on my phone so I can't post their button but I'll edit it in later! Last weekend, Jenn and I went and got gel manicures. I got Russian Navy which I'm obsessed with. And this weekend I think we're getting pedis. Love having my nails and toes done - I feel so much more presentable.

Also this is the first time I'm blogging on my phone with the blogger app and I don't hate it. Do y'all use this at all? If so, what do you think?

The Nail Files

I'm linking up with Tara and Vicki for the nail files! I went to Sephora on Sunday to buy some makeup (duh).  I needed the mineral veil for my bare minerals and I decided to get the Naked eyeshadow palette (in love).  However, everytime I go into Sephora (which is a lot more now that I'm a make up girl), I am drawn to the OPI display.  Side note: what's going on with all these parentheses? I mean, y'all have seen it, it's beautiful.  I'll show my other two colors that I have in the next link ups, but the one I bought Sunday...I'm in love, I'm in love and I don't care who knows it! It's a very light pink called "A True Romantic" Turns out it's in the bridal collection haha.

I'm terrible at painting my own nails as you can probably tell.  I don't know if the picture does the color justice, but it's so pretty! The coloring of the photo makes it look like a peach, but it's definitely a pale pink because I need to paint 3-4 coats so you can't see my actual nail.  I'm really good at getting my nails done though :) maybe by next time, they'll be pretty and professional!

Where I've been

So some of you may be wondering where I've been. Others, probably don't care. Oh haiiii. If you follow me on twitter you know.  For those of you who don't - I had a spinal fusion on December 19th.  The doctor put in 4 screws and two rods in my lower back.  I was in the hospital until 10:30 PM on Christmas Eve.  I ended up losing some blood, needing 3 pints of blood transfused and finding out I'm severely anemic.  Not the normal kind either because the tests didn't show up positive for the common types.  Now I need more blood work and to see a hematologist. Some scary stuff going on.  Also, I've been healing. This Monday was my first day back to work.  It went okay, left at 3 so only 1 1/2 hours early.  Tuesday, I got all the way into Boston got off the shuttle and puked all over myself.  I'm pretty sure I was taking it too fast - I was in so much pain yesterday and today.  I rested then and all day today so hopefully going back tomorrow will be easier.  I went out for the first time in like 2 months last weekend.  Didn't do anything crazy, but it was good to get out of the house.

Let's see what else. I also got into graduate school at Northeastern.  I'm taking this semester online because I can't really sit in a class or carry a bookbag right now. Go me! I'll be studying quantative techniques and public personnel administration.

Ryan has been truly the most amazing and supportive boyfriend through all of this.  Cleaning the house, getting anything I need, really doing anything necessary to help me.  I'm so thankful for having him in my life. So, I mean..I could make this a whole lot longer and fill in every. little. detail. But I'm all set with boring y'all to death. 
One last question: Do y'all think I should change my blog name now? If so, what are your ideas?

Oh How Pinteresting

As most of y'all know I've been on hiatus from the blog world due to spinal surgery.  Well, I'm done, back at it and busier than ever.  I'll post an update blog tomorrow, but today is oh how pinteresting and y'all...it's my favorite link up so I can't miss it. DUH.

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills

Do any of you wonderful ladies watch the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills? This season is definitely not lacking any drama that is for sure.  I know the most recent episode is currently on as we speak, but I can't stand commercials - they drive me bananers, thus why I DVR. Anydigression, who do y'all hate/love/don't care about?


I'm not quite sure how I feel about Brandi - the whole wearing a single high heel while the other leg is in a cast? Really? That's how you want the world to view you in all your booty short wearing glory? I can't decide if she's honest or pure drama.

Kyle will forever be my favorite.  Yes, she does bring the drama but she stands up for her beliefs, her friends and her family. It just doesn't seem like she bullshits and I like that about her. Plus, she's not past forgiving people which is a lacking quality in a lot of people.

Lisa is pure British slash Beverly Hills perfection.  I love that Pandora is engaged and seeing how happy she is helping plan the wedding is great.  Plus she wants something simple and romantic, even if the cah-razy wedding planner won't let her. What is his deal? Holy hollywood hell.

Adrienne and her husband, Paul keep me laughing. I just can't help but love their constant bickering.  I know it can seem annoying, but it seems that with even that they just straight up love each other and that's that.

Taylor has most definitely gone round the bend. I know what happened to her ex-husband is absolutely devasting, but that whole relationship should not have been made public.  She is just taken things out of hand and it seems she doesn't care about anything but attention. I could be wrong, but that's just how I view her as of right now.

Kim is a little bit loopy per usual, but it seems like she's trying to get her life back together.  I'm not quite sure about hiding her boyfriend of a year from her family and friends.  It seems strange and that announcing their relationship as they're moving in together is pure bizarro land.  Other than that, I hope she stays on the straight and narrow and sober.

Dana. I feel like she's definitely picking sides and trying way too hard to develop friendships with certain ladies.  She could definitely be seen as a little odd - anyone see how she was marketing her son? When he was like 6 months...or something extremely young like that. I could look up the exact age, but honestly I'm so lazy. I just can't get a grasp on how I feel about her yet.

Proud to be Greek

I'm not sure how many of y'all know that I am in a sorority.  I was in Gamma Phi Beta in undergrad and then when I moved I became part of the Houston alumnae chapter.  There is a Boston alumnae chapter, but it is notso convenient to get to when the majority of my sisters live in the south shore.  So this past Thursday, I was part of the Southern New England alumnae chapter installation.  Let me tell you..I couldn't be more proud of the girls who put this together for us.  Our executive board is beyond phenomenal and all of the other ladies with appointed positions are going to do a fabulous job - including yours truly :) I'm the Digital and Social Media chair. Perfect, right? I'm so glad that I got to be a part of installing the chapter & I cannot wait for the adventure we're going to have together!
